I Love Nice People Contributes to West Virginia Flood Relief

On June 23, 2016, a thousand year flood hit parts of southern West Virginia. We sat only 20 miles away in the capital city of Charleston, waiting for updates in horror. Our hearts broke for our friends whose lives were swept away leaving a disaster behind. We decided we wanted to help in whatever way we could. We are fortunate enough to have I Love Nice People as a platform to spread messages and raise money. We decided to donate all profit made from the selling of I Love Nice People merchandise through the months of July and August to West Virginia VOAD Flood Disaster Relief Fund.

We would like to thank everyone who made a purchase at the July 22 West Virginia Power baseball game, anyone who ordered online, and Charlie Boutique located on Bridge Road in Charleston, WV for being supportive from the beginning and allowing us to sell our items at the store.

We are gratified to announce that we are able to donate $1,394.76 to West Virginia VOAD to help them continue to help our fellow West Virginians whose lives were changed forever on June 23. The road to recovery is a long one, but with West Virginia VOAD and the resiliency of those involved, we have faith the state will come out stronger on the other side.

Although this may be a small amount in the grand scheme of things, we are so grateful for the acts of kindness demonstrated by our customers to help I Love Nice People reach an extremely significant milestone. We will continue to support West Virginia VOAD and all who are continuing to clean up and rebuild. As John F. Kennedy said, “The sun does not always shine in West Virginia, but the people always do.” We could not be any more proud to call this great state home.
